Deer Series
The Deer series delves into the intertwined themes of nature, identity, and transformation, with a focus on climate change and the preservation of wildlife, particularly the deer of Jerusalem’s Deer Valley.
In these works, animals, primarily deer, are depicted in fragmented, collage-like forms, where limbs and heads merge into hybrid creatures that symbolize change and fluidity.
The paintings evoke a mystical atmosphere, with foggy, dreamlike spaces that blur the lines between the real and the surreal.
Each canvas introduces movement and complexity, where the fragmented animals seem to emerge from the landscape, embodying the ongoing dance between nature and human intervention.
Banga’s art draws on both Indian mythology and miniature painting traditions, using layered colors and forms to explore deeper questions about our connection to nature, the passage of time, and the preservation of beauty in a rapidly changing world.
